Founded in 1898, United Kennel Club is the largest all-breed performance-dog registry in the world, registering dogs from all 50 states and 25 foreign countries. In 2024, Armenian Gampr Club of Canada petitioned to be included in the United Kennel Club's Bloodlines Listing Service with an open stud book, preserving the breed's working and landrace heritage, as the beginning of a process of full recognition for this unique breed. The request was accepted, making history as the first internationally respected kennel club, outside of Armenia and Russia, to give recognition to the breed with any formality. United Kennel Club is the first reputable governing body in North America to engage in supporting the development and conservation of this ancient working  dog.
